Quality Management
In order to gain a better understanding of the greenhouse gas emissions across our company’s various facilities and to establish clearer carbon reduction strategies, we conducted an initial assessment in 2022 focusing on six factories in Cambodia. Building upon this initiative, we plan to expand the assessment scope to include factories in Taiwan, the Philippines, and other locations in 2023. We will pursue external verification and obtain ISO 14064 certification. This will further enable us to develop carbon reduction targets and continue leading Medtecs towards sustainability.
Sustainable Supply Chain
Medtecs is committed to building a resilient supply chain by integrating production, procurement, investment, and R&D in collaboration with our partners up and down the supply chain to establish a global procurement platform. This initiative paved the way for the Company to prepare to become the first transnational purchasing organisation in Asia to provide comprehensive one-stop protective solutions and services.
In addition, Medtecs sets to increase the ratio of local procurement in countries where our manufacturing sites and facilities are located. To assist the development of local industries, lower the transportation cost, and reduce the impact on the environment, we encourage and authorize local management team to consider purchasing items that can be supplied locally, including cartons, labels, plastic bags, and more.
Eco-friendly Materials
In response to growing attention on sustainability and carbon reduction, Medtecs actively incorporates eco-conscious principles into product and packaging design. To meet the specific demands of the European market, we ensure that our production processes align with environmental standards and offer customized sustainable packaging options—such as paper bags and recyclable low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic bags—to help our clients achieve sustainability goals.
We also work closely with our suppliers to develop biodegradable and plastic-reducing materials. Although still in the development phase, these efforts reflect our dedication to sustainable innovation for a healthier planet.
